Meet the people behind Grounded Hacienda
Paulina began riding horses at the age of six, developing a deep and natural connection with them from an early age. She specialized in escaramuza, the traditional Mexican women’s equestrian discipline, achieving top placements in multiple competitions, including barrel racing.
At thirteen, she began formal horsemanship and dressage training, marking the beginning of a lifelong path of study and refinement. By fifteen, she was already training her own horse and gradually working with others.
At twenty-one, she stepped away from competitive escaramuza to focus on horse training, teaching, and creating meaningful learning experiences for others. Today, she continues to guide riders with patience, clarity, and grounded instruction.
Her approach blends technical riding foundations with presence, trust, and calm communication between horse and rider.
Emily Lozano is the founder of Grounded Hacienda and GroundedWay, spaces devoted to healing, reconnection, and conscious living through nature, horses, and embodied presence.
Her work weaves equine-guided wellness, somatic awareness, meditation, ancestral healing practices, and feminine-centered spaces that support people in returning to themselves with clarity and authenticity.
Her work invites a slower way of being — one rooted in listening, sensing, and remembering connection to nature and self.
